Each month Pariyatti volunteers prepare an audio or video podcast for viewing online or downloading to an MP3 player. The podcast this month will be a talk by S.N. Goenka at the Metropolitan Center, Calgary, Alberta, recorded July 3, 2002. This and previous podcasts can be heard or downloaded here.

Cultivating Inner Peace is a poetic, profound and uplifting book by psychiatrist, author and meditator Paul R. Fleischman, M.D., who identifies and focuses on the essential qualities of those who are known for manifesting inner peace. And, he shows how these qualities can be cultivated through intention and practice. Originally published as a hardcover book in 1997, Pariyatti Press brought out this softcover edition in 2004. This book makes a lovely gift. Save 30% this month when you purchase Cultivating Inner Peace.

Do you count on us? Pariyatti needs your help. Generous supporters have pledged $38,000 and hope to inspire you to give as well. Their challenge to you is to double this amount by November 30. If we meet this goal and raise $76,000, we'll be able to:

  • keep precious Dhamma books in print and in stock
  • promote our inspiring new book, Letters from the Dhamma Brothers
  • repay a short-term loan
  • avoid reducing services.

An additional $2,500 has been pledged if 250 supporters donate $25 or more by November 25.

You can contribute online now or by calling 360.978.4998, 9 to 5 Pacific time, Monday-Thursday. All gifts will be gratefully received and promptly acknowledged.

Pariyatti relies on donations to bridge the gap between book sales and the costs of services, including publishing and importing. Many employers will match donations to nonprofit organizations; if yours does, please take advantage of this to double the value of your gift!

Because Pariyatti is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, donations are deductible for computing US income and estate taxes.
