Welcome

Pariyatti is your comprehensive resource for the teachings of the Buddha as preserved in the Theravada tradition, and for information about Vipassana meditation as taught by S.N. Goenka, in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin. We are a nonprofit service organization who through donations and underwriting support can seek out, publish and distribute materials to inspire, educate and illuminate the seeker's path.

Pariyatti means . . .

In Pāli, the language of ancient Northern India, pariyatti refers to study of the theoretical aspects of the Dhamma. Pariyatti, Paṭipatti (practice) and Paṭivedha (direct realization) comprise the essence of the Buddha's teaching.
